Hi Everyone!
Today on Strobist David Hobby has been discussing th new version of the LP632 umbrella swivel available from MPEX.
This umbrella swivel is very solid and much, much smaller than the normal larger versions you would usually get from Manfrotto or Impact. I have been using these for 3 weeks now, and I can say that they have been great. I have mounted them on stands and super clamps, and they have worked great each time.
Here is a slide show of some pictures of the updated version of the umbrella swivel.
Created with Admarket’s flickrSLiDR.

Hey Everyone!
I have been playing around with some pics of my cat Eclipse. My Mum has been asking for some pictures of her cat for a long while, and I finally got around to it today, in some free time.
Hope you like them. Also trying out the logo on the bottom of the photos, I know it may be distracting, but I was just testing out placement etc.
Click the pictures for bigger versions.
Comment if you like them, or if you don’t! All of the shots were taken with my Canon 5D and 70-20mm f/2.8L Lens. Processing was done in Adobe Lightroom, I love this program, it allows me to use presets that automatically change for each individual photo. No lighting, just the sun behind the cat, I exposed for the cat and let the nice afternoon sun come out, I love the backlit look!
I also have some new light stands and umbrellas on the way from www.mpex.com. Mike and Noah hooked me up with some great stuff, and its the best customer service I have come across.
I have been playing around with off camera lighting using small speedlites(camera flashes) and have been learning some new techniques. To see more head over the www.strobist.com. It’s a website dedicated to the subject of off camera light using small strobes.
Have a good one!
